The User Journey
- Create a Task: A project manager creates a new task, "Draft Q3 Marketing Report," assigns it to a marketing specialist, sets a due date for next Friday, and attaches the project brief document
- Collaborate: The specialist begins working and mentions a data analyst in the task's comment section, asking, "Can you please provide the latest lead generation numbers?"
- Complete Sub Tasks: The analyst replies with the data, and the specialist checks off the "Gather Data" sub task from their checklist within the main task.
- Track Progress: The specialist drafts the report and drags the task card from the "In Progress" column to the "In Review" column on the team's Kanban board. This automatically notifies the project manager.
- Finalize: The project manager reviews the attached report, leaves a final comment, and moves the task to the "Done" column, marking it as complete for the whole team to see.
